SKARELE was born from a personal relationship with scarves.
Growing up with them, I always felt that a scarf could be more than just an accessory. It’s not only about styling, but also about everyday comfort. Over time, a desire emerged for scarves that wouldn’t be “just another one,” but would carry a story, a character, and a feeling you want to return to again and again.
The first attempts to test whether such scarves were truly needed happened around 2019. At the time, we were working on another fashion-related project and introduced silk scarves as an addition to our clients’ looks. The response was clear — the demand was there. Then another, equally important question arose: how do we stand out?
Long searches led us to suppliers in France and Italy offering the highest quality fabrics. We ordered the first samples, then more. The quality met our expectations — and our clients’ as well. That’s how a consistent process of selecting fabrics for collections began, allowing ideas, names, and product descriptions formed in mind to come to life.
At the same time, we started thinking about another direction: would it be possible to offer scarves where design, printing, and production are all done in Lithuania? This idea became an important goal for SKARELE.
The search for fabrics and working with them inspired the creation of a special collection where the entire creative process takes place here in Lithuania — from the initial idea to the finished product. The experimentation took more than a year and required patience, problem-solving, and many lessons along the way.
This journey taught one thing: creativity not only frees you, it also shapes you.
